We called Ottawa Home Services for an estimate on a new gas furnace installation. Ottawa Home Services arrived on time and provided us with a quote. We subsequently had them install a new gas furnace. They arranged to have all underground services checked out to ensure there would not be a problem. They contacted Enbridge Gas to install a line from the street to our home. All of this was done in a timely fashion. On the agreed install date the Technician from Ottawa Home Services arrived on time, they were polite, very professional and thorough. They removed the old oil furnace and oil tank and installed a new gas furnace. They left everything very clean with no signs of there having been anything there previously. All questions were answered in a manner easily understood. We are extremely happy with Ottawa Home Services, their product and the professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I have been customers of Ottawa Home Services for several years and always appreciate the professionalism, customer dedication and sense of urgency displayed. My Furnace broke down over night Saturday and woke up at 6am -31 outside and 14 in the house. I called the Ottawa Home Service hotline and left a message. Within 5 mins someone called me back and let me know that they would be there in a few hours which I understood because of the weather. They showed up and fixed it right away. GREAT GREAT service. I have used them before and have been very impressed. Thank you Ottawa Home Services. Very Happy Customer.

I am not someone who writes reviews or often goes out of my way to praise a company's services but felt that my experience today was worth sharing. After hearing a commercial for this Ottawa Home Services on the radio I called to get a second opinion on our homes furnace that was "red tagged" approximately a week ago in the course of an annual maintenance inspection by our regular supplier with whom we have an annual service contract. Earlier this afternoon (January 30, 2015) I called Ottawa Home Services to take advantage of their "Is your red tag for real" campaign. The phone was quickly answered by a live person and I had a very nice, professional and friendly chat with someone named Heather. After asking what I needed help with, Heather took all of my relevant information and advised me that she would try to send a technician to my house within TWO HOURS. A technician named Steve showed up within 90 minutes and proceeded to spend well over an hour thoroughly diagnosing and testing our furnace to find the cause of this "red tag". Steve was extremely knowledgeable and patiently explained what he was testing and why. After Steve tested my furnace it was deemed totally within manufacturers specifications and the "tag" was removed. I learned quite a lot about furnaces, maintenance etc from speaking with Steve while he was working on the furnace. I would like to thank and commend the professionalism of both Heather as well as Steve - there was no charge for this call (it really was a "free" quote") and Ottawa Home Services ended up saving our family a minimum $ 1500 repair bill for a warrantied part (as quoted by my regular and popular service provider). I will now look at switching maintenance plans and will ensure that Ottawa Home Services get recommended to all of my family and friends. We were very happy with Ottawa Home Services. The whole process of buying our new furnace went smoothly. At the initial consultation, Wayne did a great job of explaining all the options to us, and taking all the necessary measurements. The installation was done efficiently, with no mess left behind. OHS provides prompt and professional customer service - we highly recommend them.

As we were hit with a heat wave last week, I contacted Ottawa Home Services because I found out the hard way our A/C unit wasn't working. Through many calls and emails, it seemed nearly impossible to have a service tech come and look at it. In fact, I had to contact Reliance Home Comfort, and for $99, they were at my door within 2 hours, troubleshooted the issue, wrote it all down for me and said they could fix it, but since it's under warranty with Ottawa Home Services, it was in my best interest to have them fix it. I called OHS back and explained the issue. I said I needed it fixed today as I have two small kids in the home and it was extremely uncomfortable. After I suggested a temporary refill, they obliged. An appointment for the following Monday the 27th was booked for full service and the refill should get us through until then. When contacting them today re: appointment, there was nothing on file. It seems OHS prefers new installs over servicing of warranty issues, and possibly too tied up with their contracts to Ottawa Community Housing to help other residential customers in distress.... **Follow Up** Since the above scenario played out and this review was posted, I received nothing but top notch service. I respect the time and work they put in to help resolve my concern. They showed me they do care about their customers and I value that. Thumbs Up!

I had my entire house done by Ottawa Home Services this fall and everything went great. They did my Furnace, Fireplace, and AC. They scheduled it right when I needed it and were able to perform all the work. They also went above and beyond to make sure I was happy when I wanted a different remote for the fireplace. It is also worth noting that they handle all the energy rebates on your behalf so that it is stress free. The main guy I was working with (Wayne) always got back to me right away with all of my questions and continually followed up to make sure I was satisfied with everything. They also worked hard to fit within my budget. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the problem and asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. Nino was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Quickly fixed the issue (faulty capacitor). My ac unit was up and running in less than an hour after I placed the phone call. Great service from start to finish. Will recommend to friends and family.

Would love to find out how great a company this is but... I took the afternoon off work so that I could meet their salesperson at my house for a 1:30 review of my needs. Unfortunately no one showed up and no one called. Update: Booking agent called today, apologized for getting the date wrong in their system, offered to have sales\tech call me directly at my convenience. Sales\tech called quickly, answered all my questions and gave suggestions on direction plus a ballpark figure for the products I was interested in.

I knew this is the right company from the very beginning. Friendly and helpful receptionist described the whole process and booked appointment. Today contractors came exactly as was planned and quickly relocated AC unit. I am super happy with result. I was impressed by red carpet they used to protect hardwood. Appreciate this! The most important part: I got estimates from other companies. Price from Ottawa Home Services was 3 times lower! Thank you!

Ottawa Home Services and the owner Marc were a pleasure to deal with. We received a very prompt quote and the installation of furnace and hot water tank were done right on schedule. We are very happy with new equipment and the service we received. We were a bit disappointed with the cleanup afterwards but Marc was very quick to handle the situation to our satisfaction.
